On March 15th and 16th, the preschool and pre-K students at St. John Preschool hopped to raise money for JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. St. John Regional Catholic School has two students who are Type I Diabetics and the school has used different fundraisers throughout the year to donate to this important cause.

The preschoolers spent the two weeks prior learning about Diabetes through a video "You Can't Catch Diabetes from a Friend" and through a question and answer presentation by the third grader and first grader who has diabetes. Janice Souviney, Director of the Preschool, spent a few weeks helping her young students understand and then the preschoolers and their families raised money by getting donations for how much the students jumped in a minute or by flat donations. This effort raised $1,347.00 for JDRF.

Special thanks to all those who participated and to our young students who understood the importance of funding research to find a cure.
